Up for sale is an Originalpre-WWI French Model Mle. 1866 Bayonet and Scabbard for the11mm 1866 Chassepot Rifle. The Bayonet isused, see photo\'s forCondition, no rust or pitting on the blade. The bladeis bright with some discoloration. There is no evidence of sharpening. It has the original metal scabbard.One dingin the scabbard.The Bayonet and the Scabbarddo not have matching serial numbers. This bayonet is 27.5\" long with a 22.625\" long blade.
