rare Gibson 1930\'s 1920\'s store display case cabinet Mona strings wooden vintageI don’t know exact age, my best quick research says 1928-1934 logo style. 15 1/2 tall with spindle and 11 1/2 in side to side.  Nearly antique. I am not a Gibson guitar collector. I am selling this from a friends estate. I did put a reserve but my guess is that reserve will be passed. Even if not I will consider 2nd chance but no early closes and no revealing reserves.I think such an old cabinet is rare. Searching recent sales found nothing akin to this except a blue one. My reserve is less that 1/2 of that one’s final price. We have here a octagon (8 sides), 2 sides say Gibson, 2 Kalamazoo, 4 are open shelves for the guitar strings. 1st 4 pictures are the 4 sides, followed by a few repeat shots with spindle removed, and then more close ups of various details.2nd photo down you see one of the Gibson faces has a large white spot, that is really there, it is not a refection. For some reason the gold Gibson lettering looks ok despite the white spot around it. Overall main color is black (a warm charcoal, not jet black), with some areas showing a dark brownish tone. In some photos of the faces, overall look is dark brown but in person looks a bit more black. The red color is orange-red. Not like deep Coca Cola red. On my monitor the color looks right compared to the item. Photos are good but occasionally I see some lens distortion of the parallel sides. In reality the case is in excellent structural shape, not warped, plum/square etc.Various paint chipping, all shown in pictures. No mold or smoke smells. All the inset“shelves” for the Mona guitar strings are complete, no holes or any real damages. Pictures were taken in a white cube so some show whitish reflections along the bottom. That is just a photo artifact. Black color is fairly consistent top to bottom. The spindle is simple metal rod, with what I think is wooden base. Base is highly polished andlacquered. ? Could be bakelite. The display rotates smoothly, the spindle part inserts easily. The spindle and base are solid unit, no wiggle.Shipping is shown by calculator. It is not free. On the upside what you see is what I send. What I describe is honest. Since I am not a collector I don’t emotionally sugar coat.
Photo is of the actual item(s), no other extras included. I have done for 18 years. I hope we can add to each others positive experience. Credit card ability is only with PayPal. Rectangular US paper is good. This will be a 13 lb. 15 ounce package, for USPS Postal shipping please check shipping calculator; included is a small HANDLING FEE. I have also factored substantial insurance. But I make a compact yet damage proof package. 10000+ items shipped with two damages. This does not ship book rate or gift declaration (for international buyers). David B. If Paypal payment should be within 5 days.If mailing payment from USA then 9 days.No third party payments (ie overseas buyer shipping to USA \"friend\")_gsrx_vers_612 (GS 6.9.5 (612))

2 minor typos I originally wrote...\" plum/square etc.\"   should be \"plumb/square etc.\"   2nd one I see is.....\"it is not a refection.\"  should be \"it is not a reflection.\"    Reserve has been met so top buyer gets it.Thanks to all.  David/fatrock
