marked on rear of clock CHS2,indicating this was Canadian navy issue for world war 2...here is a beautifull Hamilton marine ship chronometer.it comes in the rare original double wooden box.the outer box is padded and covered in a soft felt material on the inside for protecting the inner box and the chronometer.it is in good condition but someone smeared stain on some of it.the inner box is in very good condition with only a little bit of scratches and marks from normal use.the cases have the original tags and labels on them.the inner box that holds the chronometer has a top lid that opens to look at the clock through a glass window and the lower opening opens to set the clock.the clock itself is in very good condition and runs excellent.it has the seconds display plus a wind indicator to tell you when to wind it and how much is left.the movement itself is in very nice clean condition and works excellent.overall is a beautifull piece and rare to have 2 cases.shipping only to Canada and the usa.i will send by Canada post trackedand will insure for the closest amount I can to the purchase price.i will not be responsible for any damage or loss from shipping..
