An Aunt purchased this bike used in the 70s for a cousin of mine. We lived in the same town, but I don\'t remember him riding this bike... I don\'t actually remember him riding a bike at all. So either I have a bad memory or he didn\'t ride it much.My Aunt has safely stored this bike ever since. Recently, she hired a local bike shop owner to service the bike and get it back to riding condition. Subsequently the bike shop owner realized the value of this bike as a collector\'s item and proceeded to do a lot of research and locate suitable parts that would retain the value.There were 2 parts that he purchased on as replacements:1) 1971 Schwinn Stingray Fastback 5 speed Crank + Bearings and MAG Sproket.2) Wald Rams Horn Handlebars w/original Grips.The bike shop owner also replaced the tires, but as you can see from the photos he knew to keep the original tires that came with the bike.So this bike is almost entirely original.
An er contacted me to say that he believes the bike to be 1967 and not 1968. I also had a 2nd er tell me the same thing, so I\'m changing any reference of 1968 to 1967.

I have the bike listed as Local-Pickup Only, but if know of a creative way for me to ship it and you\'re willing to pay the shipping costs, I\'m open to suggestions. And please, if you plan to have the bike shipped, contact me before you offer to confirm that I can reasonably fulfill your shipping suggestion. For example, I may not live close enough to a shipping center (Greyhound) that will accept this type of item. If the expectation is that the bike will need to come apart to ship it, I will have to hire a local bike shop at your expense to do that.
