offeredis an extremely rare and important 1930\'s art deco cartier solid sterlingsilver automatic table petrol lighter. the sterling silver paris madelighter features a wonderful streamline ribbed body design with twistout insert silver mechanism. the mechanism release features acabochon ruby in the center. the cartier swivel automatic mechanismis quite unusual and a similar model is shown in the bisconcinilighter book as seen in last photo. the lighter is markedcartier paris with numerous cartier and silver hallmarks as seen inphotos. the lighter measures 2-3/8\" tall x 2-1/4\"across and is in very good to excellent lite used condition. there isa small bottom rim dent that can be seen in photo of the underside.it slightly detracts but may come out. the silver finish has mild age tarnishthat will clean to sparkle. the lighter mechanism has a strong snapup action and should work with proper service of flint and fuel. thiswonderful cartier lighter is all original - quite showy and very wellmade. overall - a superb 1930\'s luxury cartier lighter for the best of collections. this vintage 1930\'s cartierlighter is one of the finest table lighters ever offered on .the photos show reflections and the cartier looks better in person.
