vintage Whitefriars glass bowl small orange suspended bubble mid century:

Very fine example of Whitefriars classic suspended bubble design glass. This is a dish or bowl in heavy blown glass. It has a shallow sided profile with slightly folded over rim and flattened base. The colour is amber to orange, but quite a pale tint. The bubble pattern forms a wide spiral shape from centre to outside with the bubbles getting larger towards the rim. The underside is flattened with a ground out pontil. A very tactile piece of mid century glassware (I\'m guessing 60s or 70s) Condition is really very good. Evidence of wear to the underside - showing age - but there is no damage, chips, fleabites or cracks. Approx weight is 600 gm so it gets in on Royal Mail small parcel. Measures 10 cm (4 inches) diameter at the top and 3.5 cm (1.4 inches) tall
