Offered for your consideration is a vintage LudwigPractice Pad, USA-made c.1960. It is made from chrome-plated metal alloy with rubber pad, suction feet, and measures 5⅞” wide x just under 8” high x 2¼” at tallest. It has “5040” cast on the underside which isevidently the model number.

So, please have a look at the photos I’ve taken to decide if this very cool and fairly uncommon Ludwig collectible is good for your needs.

This Practice Pad is in clean, near excellent condition. There are no dents, real scratches, or noteworthy oxidation, just some handling marks and dulling on the chrome which should polish up very nicely using Flitz, Simichrome, or a similar metal paste. Plus, the pad is in great shape and the black rubber feet are quite pliable (instead of badly cracked or missing like on many you see). Plus, the stand mount recess has its original wing bolt and the retail box is included as pictured. Overall, it presents very nicely and is ready for many more years of action!
