Purchased from an estate. Most of my estate items I pull from attics or basements.

I did not hang it and see if it worked or kept time so you are buying as a total restore.
Marked inside...Reguala....78 on inside roof, 89 and Patent angem on back of cover. I do not see any kind of marks indicating a 1 day or 8 day....look at the photos...the left bellow is torn and from me playing with the bird door. it is torn more than the photo shows. either way it would need to be replaced.
the right door has a little man, the left has a bird and when you jiggle the bird by the nest the door moves....
from roof peek to bottom of nest is approx 9 1/2\"
the clock with out the carving is approx 5\" wide and 4 1/2\" thick
no returns....you are buying as is and know that it is for parts or repair
