GREETINGS ALL GLASSAHOLICS! WELCOME TO THE DEBUT OF SCANDLEGLASS CREATIONS FOR ENLIGHTENMENT AS OF Valentines Day 2014! I AM PLEASED TO FINALLY BEGIN PRUNING MY GLASS COLLECTION CONSISTING OF BOTH VINTAGE & CONTEMPORARY OFFERINGS ACQUIRED SINCE 1993 WHEN I FIRST BEGAN MY GLASS COLLECTING IN EARNEST BACK IN WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA. INITIALLY I MADE THE ROUNDS OF LOCAL ANTIQUE SHOPS & MALLS IN BOTH W.P.B. & LAKE WORTH AS WELL AS DELRAY BEACH & DANIA BEFORE SUBSEQUENTLY ALSO ATTENDING MANY OF THE PICADILLY ANTIQUE SHOWS HELD REGULARLY AT THE SOUTH FLORIDA FAIRGROUNDS. THE ZEAL WITH WHICH I FANATICALLY SEARCHED FOR GLASS (LIKE I DID FOR RECORDS BACK IN THE 1970\'S & EARLY 1980\'S) CENTERED AROUND MY PRIMARILY FINDING ANY RECEPTACLES WHICH I DEEMED ADEQUATE TO ACCOMMODATE VOTIVE CANDLES. HOWEVER, I QUICKLY BRANCHED OUT INTO ALSO EMBRACING MANY TOOTHPICK HOLDERS, ROSEBOWLS, SPOONERS, VARIOUS SIZED VASES AND THE OCCASIONAL SPITTOON, MANY OF WHICH I UTILIZED AS CANDLE HOLDERS. ALTHOUGH MOST WERE OBVIOUSLY BY NAME NOT DESIGNED OR INTENDED FOR SUCH PURPOSES OR USE, I FOUND THAT FREQUENTLY THEY MADE THE BEST HOLDERS THAT OFTEN PRODUCED A MYRIAD OF SPECTACULAR OPTICAL & VISUAL RESULTS! ADDITIONALLY I ALSO BEGAN COLLECTING SOME PAPERWEIGHTS, AS WELL AS SOME FIGURALS SUCH AS ELEPHANTS, FISH, FROGS, OWLS, SWANS & TURTLES WHICH AT TIMES WERE NOT MADE OF GLASS, BUT CLOISONNE, MALACHITE, CERAMIC/POTTERY, PLEXIGLASS & WOOD.
THIS MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION RESULTED IN MY ACQUIRING OVER 900 PIECES OF GLASS WITHIN THE FIRST 9 YEARS! A FEW YEARS AFTER MOVING TO THE NORTH EAST GEORGIA MOUNTAINS IN LATE 2004 I SLOWED DOWN SUBSTANTIALLY DUE TO REACHING SATURATION POINT & SPACE LIMITATIONS AS WELL AS HAVING LESS $$ TO SPEND. I STOPPED ATTENDING THE ATLANTA ANTIQUE SHOWS ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO AND NOW I JUST BUY THE OCCASIONAL PIECE I CAN\'T RESIST OR I\'M WATCHING FOR THAT\'S OFFERED ON , ASSUMING I CAN JUSTIFY AS WELL AS AFFORD IT\'S GOING RATE.
SO, AS WITH MY ONGOING RECORD COLLECTION PRUNING, I\'LL BE CONTINUING TO OFFER GLASS AS I THIN OUT THAT COLLECTION AS WELL OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. AFTER I HAVE LISTED AT LEAST 40-50 GLASS ITEMS OR PERHAPS 100 OR MORE (SO I HAVE BUILT UP AN AUDIENCE OF GLASS WATCHERS & OTHER POTENTIAL BUYERS) I WILL THEN LIST SOME ITEMS NOW & THEN FOR sale ALSO IN ADDITION TO REGULAR ONGOING BIN OR BEST OFFER ONES! You\'ll see some Acro Agate, Avon, Bagley, Beatty, Blenko, Boyd, Cambridge, Consolidated, Correia, Dugan/Diamond, Duncan Miller, Eickholt, Fenton, Fostoria, Robert Held, Imperial, Jeanette, Jefferson, Brian Maytum, Murano, Northwood, Orient & Flume, Orrefors, Perthshire, Riverside, L.E. Smith, Joe St. Clair, Tiffin, Vandermark, Viking, Westmoreland, L.G.Wright and some others. As with my records, cds & dvds the vast majority of what I will offer will be in excellent to Mint condition with usually little to no wear or damage despite many pieces being turn of the century or before as well as many from the depression years. Any inherent damage will be noted accordingly when present & as always I fully guarantee your satisfaction with expert descriptions, packing, shipping and service. Please be a bit patient with my shipping times initially for a while until I get a little more up to speed with packing, as glass comes in many shapes, sizes & weightsrequiring many different size boxes, unlike records, cds & dvds which are quite uniform with little variation. Over the years I have stockpiled muchbubble-wrap and peanuts to last for awhile but I will have to get boxes regularly toaccommodateany sold items accordingly.I usually only go to town 2-3 times a week, plus if there\'s inclement weather like there has been frequently this past winter I may not be able to get out at times with snow & ice bound mountain roads & terrain to navigate!

I have always been in the habit of leaving + response for my buyers pretty soon after their purchases, usually within at most a few days of when I ship out their item(s). Unfortunately there\'s been about a dozen glass buyers since February 2014 who have not seen fit to leave positive response which is pretty disappointing to me. I strive for satisfaction so IF there is ever a problem OR if you are not satisfied for some reason then PLEASE contact me so I can make things right & maintain my 100% positive response rating! Otherwise I\'m just left wondering why??? Are some folks forgetful, do they procrastinate, or are they just too lazy or selfish to be bothered??!! Up until now I\'ve resisted doing what some other sellers do which is saying that your + response left will result in mine, but now I\'m saying it!!! Unlike Records, CDs & DVDs whichfrequently require time to get to, absorb & evaluate, Glass can be assessed very quickly once it\'s been received & unpacked. SO, there\'s really no valid excuses I can think of warranting no response left (excepting family emergencies or health issuesarising) & from now on I will wait up to 1-2 weeks from whenitemsare delivered for appropriate response. If I have still not heard from you at that point then I maycordiallycontact you asking for clarification as to why. Or else I\'ll just wait for you to act...or not!
