Quarter-plate, circa 1847 daguerreotype portrait of Reverend Samuel Brown (1791-1849), with his obituary attached. Brown died in Danbury, Connecticut and is buried at Pine Island Cemetery, in Norwalk, CT. Dag has a tarnish ring, but is excellent condition with no damage noted. It's housed in its original leather case, which is complete and intact, with a nicely repaired spine.
