Large 19th Century scene of girls singing Christmas Carols titled "Christmas Eve" oil on canvas by William Hippon Gadsby. Excellent quality and condition example of the artists work in superb condition for its age. Signed & presented in a beautiful period ornate gilt frame.

Born1844, in Derby; died1924, in London.

William Gadsby was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists and exhibited regularly at the Suffolk Street Galleryfrom 1869. He also exhibited at the Royal Academy.
