I am pleased to offer from my collection this extremely rare and historically important antique Imperial Russian Faberge 14k solid gold Diamonds and Ruby set award ring depicting the personal monogram cypher of Tsar Nicholas II.
The ring comes with the original presentation surprise gilt Easter Egg,also decorated with the monogram of Tsar Nicholas II.
The ring has been made by Faberge's head workmaster Alfred Thielemann(hallmarked with his initials AT and with 56 gold Kokoshnik standart for 14k gold).

The ring has been awarded by Tsar Nicholas II to the Imperial Yacht Standart's crew officer Nikolai Pavlovich Sablin(on the last photo-he stand on the right side of Tsar Nicholas II ). From 1906 till 1914 he served on the yacht ,eventually becoming her commander. In 1914 Sablin became the naval Aide de camp to Tsar Nicholas II and later in World War I commanded a battalion of the Russian Guard.
The ring comes from Sablin's family estate.

The ring is decorated with Old Mine cut central Diamonds and old rose cut side diamonds with a total weight of approx 3ct and 1ct natural Rubies.
The Diamonds are with the finest quality-E/F snow white color,IF to VVS1 clarity.
A lot of sparkles.
The sparkle of old cut diamonds is deeper and warmer, almost glowing in a way that draws the eye into the stone instead of bouncing the light back out. This makes old cut diamonds star performers in candlelight and other low light settings.

The ring is really impressive-15g heavy. Large man size 13 .

The ring is engraved inside in Russian "From His Imperial Majesty-23th March 1908".
