For the serious collector, a very rare highly detailed stipple point hand engraved Steuben art glass sculpture. Something special to giveas a permanent reminder of your love, for the special Holiday, Anniversary, Birthday or the collector. A fire polished elongated oval crystal shapeiscut with a viewing window and hand engraved with details of trailing mistletoe, apples, lighted candlesand boughs. The oval is connected to it's base by a sterling silver ring. Stipple point engraving is a technique similar to impressionist painting. It was a style employed by Sir Laurence Whistler in a number of works he created for Steuben. (If you "google" Sir Laurence Whistler, you can find information and videos about his work in many of England's Cathedrals.) The Kissing Bough is signed onthe base bottomedge. Thisvery rare findis new in vintagered leather box. Hand engraved works were Steuben's most expensive pieces.
