Vintage Enamel Metal Train Station Sign ARLINGTON Railroad :

All aboard! This is a train station sign for Arlington. The sign is enameled and shows sun discoloration on the front and none on the back. These usually hung under an overhang on the station. It shows normal wear on the face. I think this would date from the mid 1900's.
The sign was claimed to be from Texas, I can't confirm that and there are many other Arlington towns and cities in the United States, 21 to be exact. Of course they do not all have train stations. You can see this and many other transportationrelated items in our large display at Columbia Rivertowne Antique Center, Columbia, PA.
I have dealt in train station signs in the past and this is right about the size they are. The sign is 66 5/8" long x 12 1/16" thick.
