Extremely Rare . Fantasia "The Sorcerer's Apprentice with Brooms" Mickey Mouse Limited Edition Bronze Statue (Walt Disney, 1990). #28 out of 100. Simply magnificent, presented is a marvelous limited edition sculpture in bronze of Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice, commanding the brooms as they haphazardly carry their buckets of water. Based on the beloved "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" segment of Walt Disney's landmark 1940 animated feature Fantasia, this unnumbered sculpture was produced for the 50th anniversary of the original release of the film, in an edition of only 100 made. Weighing a massive 47 lbs., this impressive piece measures a jaw-dropping 20" tall set on a 1.25" green marble base as issued. Fantasia was re-released theatrically in 1990 with the restored soundtrack recorded by Leopold Stokowski and the Philadelphia Orchestra. A small number of limited edition bronzes were produced for the occasion, and this one is by far the largest and most impressive. It has an overall height of 21.25" on a 12" diameter base. Very minor handling, and the condition is Very Good.
