Silver Torah Shield (TAS), Abraham Reiner, Warsaw, Poland, 1876.
The shield's border is chased with flowerheads and scroll foliage ornaments.

With typical applied symbols including - two ramping lions flanking a Torah crown on top of two embossed pillars.
The hinged (on the reverse) plaque box includes a double sided plaque with the Hebrew inscription "Sabbath" on one side and "Passover" on the other (later).
The center of the shield is applied with two hinged pierced doors that open to reveal a miniature Torah scroll model.
Connected with a hanging chain.
Marked with Polish silver marks for Moscow, dated 1876, maker's mark for Abraham Reiner, assayer mark for Josef Sosnkowski.
