Commissioned in the 1990's this is a hand stitched Amish-made replica of the quilt made for Winona Ryder's character in the film "How To Make an American Quilt". 16 blocks with the border of leaves. Unlike the quilt in the film this one is done all in cotton to that there would not be uneven wear and so that it can be cleaned easily.

Measurements:

103 x 100 inches.

Hand sewn and quilted.All done in cotton.Tag reads "Amish Country Quilts and Furniture Stockholm Wisconsin"Quilt weighs approx 5 1/2 lbs. I do not believe that there is any lining or filling inside.

This quilt has been displayed and used over the years. It is in great shape with no fraying or holes. There is some fading to the top line of blue border fabric and there is some soiling visible in the white areas. It has not been professionally cleaned or spot treated.

Really wonderful details such as embroidered sections or the flowers that are raised. This quilt took months to sew and is such a rare piece!

Queen Sized 103 x 100 inches. Gently used condition. Some fading of the blue border fabric and some spots on the white backing.
