You are offerding on THE hottest comic around right now! This is an unrestored copy of Marvel Spotlight #5 featuring the first appearance of The Ghost Rider published by Marvel in 1972! (See detailed photos of actual book!) I started collecting comics in the summer of 1972 and this is one of the earliest books I remember buying off the spinner rack at my local 7-11! I have carefully stored it for nearly 50 years! in the late 90s I had the opportunity to meet Mike Ploog at Wizard World Chicago and he signed (printed) his name at the bottom of the first page in gold pen (which makes it a little tricky to see...but keeps it from detracting from the book)! Hopefully you can tell from the photos how deep and rich the cover colors are! This book is tight, complete, and free of any creases...with the only real detractions being a few light stress lines along the spine and a tiny corner ding at the lower right front. The book has off-white pages and lays perfectly flat! I would grade it a solid VF/NM 9.0. If you wanted to press the book it has the potential to come back 9.2! While it's definitely not a NM/MT 9.8...I'm asking a fraction of the $250K the last 9.8 sold for. If you're looking for a high grade investment copy with provenance of this key book (that won't break the bank) look no further...you would be hard-pressed to find a better copy for the price!
