The series examines the enduring qualities and continuing influence of timeless classics like Sir Thomas Malory's rousing Morte D'Arthur, Mary Shelley's brooding Frankenstein and Charles Darwin's revolutionary Origin of Species. Great Books uses a variety of scholars, experts, writers and filmmakers to explore each masterpiece. This broadcast event will continue through the following three weeks with each program airing on consecutive Thursdays.
