Overview:
Up for sale are two twin X-Large Yemenite Shofars. These two horns are twins, i.e., they came from the same African Kudu. They are a collector’s item due to their rarity in being twins and due to their extreme length, color, and marking.
The sound is crisp and there is a distinct rise in tone from low to high notes, which can easily be made by tightening or relaxing your lips while blowing. While some long shofars can only make distinctly low sounds, if blown correctly, five distinct notes can be made with each shofar from a low to high sound.
Both shofars have been finely polished, i.e., the entirety of the exterior has been polished.
Dimensions: Shofars are measured along the outside curve. These shofars measure 54 inches along the curves.
Bell Circumference: 9.25 in.
Condition: The shofars are in beautiful condition. One of the shofars has a small chip at the bell end (see pictures). There are no known stress cracks.
