Ever-popular actor and comedian Bill Murray has placed a clean and perpendicular, blue ballpoint signature on cloth tape covering the barrel of this Louisville Slugger bat. The bat exhibits the number "25" written on each end in thick marker, and also bears signs of (unspecified) use. (Perhaps the star wielded the club to intimidate the gopher in Caddyshack, or to fend off malevolent spirits in Ghostbusters? Or, was it simply an impromptu souvenir gifted by Murray, a passionate Chicago Cubs fan, to a youngster on an afternoon at Wrigley Field?) Owing to the presence of tape-wrapping, most of the bat's stampings are not readily identifiable. The irascible Murray, who has enjoyed a long and fruitful career in the entertainment industry, has won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe, and was nominated for an Academy Award in 2004 for his work in Lost In Translation.
