Tiny Glass Bottle Gold Flitter (Fairy Dust) Glitter Powder F.W. Devoe & Co NY
Tiny Glass Bottle Gold Flitter (Fairy Dust) Glitter Powder F.W. Devoe & Co NY:
F.W. Devoe & Co was a paint company that opened its doors in New York Cities’ Manhattan with William Post at its front. By 1851 F.W Devoe & Co teamed up with C.T. Raynold’s & Co. They dominated the industry of household and ship paint. They were importing pigments and mixing their own colors; making it easier access for homeowners to DIY. They bought an entire street on both Fulton & Horacio in the Far West Village of Greenwich.
Un 1908; this little piece about the tooth fairy 🧚♀️ came out in the Chicago Tribune by Lillian Brown (see last picture)
And Viola; F.W. Devoe & Co, who was operating out of New York, came up with this brilliant advertising idea to sell these magical little bottles of Flitter Dust!
Ultra rare bottle
You’ll not see another like it!
Gold dust inside is not modern day glitter, which can’t about 1934. Maybe gold flakes? Idk. No way to open to tell. Again; you’ll not see another bottle like this. Ever. Perfect size to make into a pendant necklace or shadow box in a frame.
(More info? Just ask!)
With the current ban on glitters; this is really a gem 💎
