Retro ART DECO 14K Pin Pink Gold Rose Gold Yellow Gold Champagne & White Diamond:
$6500.00

Welcome!

I have always loved combinations of fancy colored diamonds with white diamonds and combinations of yellow with other colors of gold. This Retro Art Deco or earlier period pin is solid 14K gold in yellow or green gold with pink gold and even some white gold. The diamonds are an older cut and are perfectly mounted with the larger diamond, I think it was .65 carats, in the center and the smaller white diamonds framing it. The white diamonds are set in white gold, which is traditional, and the champagne diamond is set in yellow gold. Champagne diamonds are natural stones, all the stones are natural in this pin. Champagne diamonds are no longer being mined; have not been mined for a few years now. The stones in this pin are gorgeous and the setting is stunning and there are three colors of gold in this pin. The set diamonds make up the center of the flower and the petals are represented by the two colors of gold petals. The total weight of the diamonds is 1 carat or more. I had it appraised some time ago but can't find the materials. I recall these are excellent quality diamonds. The design is very clean, of the period and the condition is excellent vintage without probems. The locking clasp works fine. I just saw an MC Mossalone set made in a similar design but without any diamonds. He was an important Art Deco period designer; my mother had a wonderful gold bracelet of his. The set I just saw had a design like this, also in multiple color gold, as a pendant on a chain with petal shaped pieces making up the chain. This pin is so much like that, I wouldn't be surprised to learn he made it but of course, it's not signed and I don't know for sure who made it. I do know it is of that period and it's immaculate and gorgeous. I just love the two colors of gold and the diamonds in the center as well as the simple and clean lines. This is a museum quality piece and a large size. Nothing was skimped in this work of art. Gorgeous!

Does anyone think champagne diamonds and gold are going to become less expensive over the years? And these fine old ones will be less expensive as time goes by? I only regret the ones I sold years ago which now would be valued many more times the value at which I sold them.

The diameter is about 1-9/16" and there's excellent height and dimensionality. Weight is 10.2 grams. It's a gorgeous pin, very simple and elegant, with great sparkle, and I am offering separately a ring and earrings I had made that work with it perfectly. But this is a genuine old piece. I don't know what company made it. It is stamped 14K and I bought it as an sale estate piece several decades ago. It's a one-of-a-kind pin and with its simple elegance it can work in any situation from the red carpet to every day events. It is beautiful.
