Signed document in Arabic, Ba'ath Party Letterhead, 8.625 x 13", Oct. 10, 1980, signed at the conclusion in red ink as Chairman of the Revolutionary Command Council. A second cover sheet is also included.
This was two weeks after invading Iran and starting the Iran-Iraq war. The document is a declaration of Iraq and Bulgaria agreeing to exchange land and build embassies in each others capital cities (Baghdad and Sofia). Full translation in images.
Fine condition overall for age and item with a few small pinholes, normal hole punches and paper loss to the upper right corner.
