*RARE* 1959 PSA Type 1 Photo of NASA Pioneer 2

***Vintage One-of-a-Kind photoauthenticated by PSA as an original Type 1! Great opportunity to obtain avintage photograph of likely One of the Earliest if not the Earliest Known Photographs of NASA’s beginning space missions. NASA was established in 1958, and the launch of Pioneer 2 took place the same year on November 8, 1958. Pioneer 2 was the second ever attempt of NASA to launch aprobe to orbit the moon after the failed attempt of Pioneer 1 just one month earlier. Unfortunately, Pioneer 2 also failed. But since NASA was still in its infancy at the time, every failure became a step closer to making NASA what it is now. Photo is date stamped February 18, 1959, three months after the November 1958 launch date.**

Worth noting is that NASA was founded on July 29 1958, and started functioning October 1, 1958. This photo is date stamped 4 months later making this one of the earliest known NASA-related photos in existence!
