Up for sale is one doll only, a NDEBELE FERTILITY DOLL (Fig # 2). It has been in our family from the 1960’s when we were still residing in South Africa. It might be that it was made long before the 60’s. My late aunt EttieFeldman was a film editor for different productions locally in SA and internationally she traveled a lot across Africa with film teams and collected tribal artifacts including 4 NDEBELE FERTILITY DOLLS. This Doll was made by the NDEBELE women for their own needs and not to be sold as a souvenir. Souvenirs looks different compared to this one that has plenty imperfections and adaptation to what these women had at their hand during the process of making the doll, such as beads, fabrics, wooden and metal parts.

Please note that this item is not a tourist souvenir, but a genuine NDEBELE FERTILITY DOLL!

Also, please note that I’ve never tried todismantle this Doll and I assume that its entire structure or parts of it, socalled “skeleton or frame” is made of wood and possibly be taken apart.

Measures (approx.,): Height: 115cm / 45.2”

Weight (approx., w/o package): about 4 kg.

Condition:

It isin AS-IS condition, no part of this Doll was cleaned or polished or repaired or went through any other modification, therefore the fabrics are covered with dust (light layer). Also, it is not very stable, despite standing on its feet proud and beautiful(please see pics).

We ship registered airmail worldwide fromIsraelbut unfortunately there are a few countries that I am unable to ship to due to political reasons. To the people there I apologize.

Usually shipping takes 12-18 days

BUT

I have tried to get an accurate time of delivery and every worker and every branch of the post office gave me a different answer. The longest was delivery within 30 working days so please take this into account

IMPORTANT:

Any Item paid for on Friday or the day before a public holiday after 08.00 my time (GMT+2) will only be shipped on Sunday as All Post Offices are closed on Saturdays and most of Friday (or the day after a public holiday)

My outlookon life is that there are good people and bad people no matter what country, what color, what religion or how tall or how short they may be. And that being nice is underrated
