Sixth-plate daguerreotype of Mrs. Catherine Wagneraccompanied by a note: "This picture is Mrs Cath WagnerEaston PA & Hackettstown, NJ".
This is a pretty early dag, c.1844 I believe. Thehallmark on the plate is L.B.B. & Ce 40.
The woman is wearing an amazing hand tinted dress andsitting next to a small table with a book on it.. thebook has gold painted edges.
The dag came to me with its original seals intact butvery dirty glass, so I cleaned the original glass, putit back, and resealed it. The outside of the case isstamped, "M.B. BRADY CASEMAKER".
Dag is in very good or better antique condition with a tarnish ring anda few tiny mold spiders, but no corrosion, dings, swipesor scratches. There is a small scratch on the outside ofthe glass. The case is in excellent condition, complete with minimal leather wear andno repairs.Shipping: Boxed & Signed Priority Mail.
