Here's a scarce Crosley Combination Detector/Tuner and Single Stage Amplifier. These regenerative 2-tube receivers were built by Crosley in Cincinnati and sold by Sears & Roebuck through the latter's seasonal "Radio" catalog. Though similar at first pass to Crosley's 51 radio, the Sears & Roebuck Combination Receiver was a dry cell set, with a built-in battery compartment and no Crosley indicia/branding on the bakelite panel. It was also larger than the Crosley 51 since it needed room in its cabinet to house the batteries that poweredits tubes.

Condition of this example is very good throughout, as you can see in the photos. Original tube sockets, original variable book condenser, original fixed grid condenser, original spiderweb regen. coils, original binding post nuts, original panel screws, etc. Cabinet is likewise in good shape, with a clean original finish and no issues, just scattered minor marks consistent with age and authenticity. Filament rheostat is working properly. Paper tag on the underside of the cabinet is original and intact.

The radio comes with a pair of Deforest DV audions with open filaments (display only), and a pair of globe 01A's with good emissions. The AF transformer is good, and the radio works when connected to a longwire outdoor antenna, a good regulated power supply (I'd recommend and ARBEIII), and a pair of vintage headphones or a sensitive horn speaker.
