Offered is an original NASA photograph showing the Aurora 7 Mercury spacecraft to be piloted by Scott Carpenter atop a Atlas Launch vehicle.

Aurora 7 was the Mercury spacecraft piloted by Scott Carpenter and was the fourth crewed space flight of Project Mercury, Aurora 7 circling the Earth three times and performing experiments in orbit.

This photograph was authentic a Type I Photo by PSA/DNA.

TheMercury Sevenwere the group of seven astronauts selected to fly spacecraft for Project Mercury. They are also referred to as theOriginal SevenandAstronaut Group 1.
