FROM RIVER OAKS, HOUSTON, TEXAS ESTATE ~ ST JOHN'S FIRST SCHOOL YEAR STARTED SEPTEMBER 12, 1946. BELIEVE THIS TO BE THE FIRST PHOTO OF THE SCHOOL AS A WHOLE~DATED 1946-47. THIS ORIGINAL PANORAMIC PHOTO MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 30". PHOTO WAS TAKEN BY BITTERST (VERY DIFFICULT TO READ NAME) COMMERCIAL PHOTO AS SHOWN. IT HAS MANY CONDITION ISSUES. HAVE ATTEMPTED TO PHOTOGRAPH THE ONES OF GREATER CONCERN. THERE ARE HOLES AND SOME EDGE TEAR AND STAINING. IT IS IN FRAGILE CONDITION. THIS COULD BE RESTORED TO ITS ORIGINAL SPLENDOR. MANY OF THE CONDITION ISSUES WOULD BE DISGUISED BY A PROFESSIONAL FRAMER. WOULD BE A FABULOUS PIECE OF HISTORY FOR THE SCHOOL OR A SPECIAL DONOR OR ALUMNI. WILL BE SHIPPEDROLLED IN A BOX. GOOD LUCK.
