First edition presentation copy of Wells’ wartime novel, signed and inscribed by him on the title page to his friend and colleague Julian Huxley: "To Julian.Brad must learn University English (Ernest he does)H. G.22 – 1 – 43"
Julian Huxley was an eminent British evolutionary biologist and brother of writer Aldous Huxley. He wrote "The Science of Life" with Wells in 1929.
Huxley read and reviewed the book and his handwritten notes are jotted on the rear pastedown.
Very good condition overall for age
