"DOGS BY WELL KNOWN AUTHORITIES-THE TERRIERS" by Harding Cox a first edition 1906 produced in very limited numbers this is perhaps the best and largest of all English colour illustrated dog books, this superb book is in its original half leather red boards and is in excellent condition with minor wear to the bottom of the spine, overall size is approx. 15" x 12" x 2" thick, the breeds included are Fox Terrier, Irish Terrier, Welsh Terrier, Airedale Terrier, Scottish Terrier, West Highland White Terrier, Dandie Dimount Terrier, Skye Terrier, Bedlington Terrier, Bull Terrier, Black & Tan Terrier and English White Terrier, the book was originally issued in parts and people could obtain all the parts and have them bound as one very large book like this, complete with all its superb full page colour and black & white illustrations by Maud Earl, Wardle and all the other famous English dog artists at the time, most copies that do exist are in poor condition and usually have some of the very large illustrations missing .
