Every once in a while, a piece of Disney Imagineering history surfaces that almost never sees the light of day. This is one of those pieces.Offered here is an original 113-page Walt Disney Imagineering "Show Quality Standards" binder documenting the entire Disneyland Jungle Cruise attraction.Compiled in January 1996 using photographs taken between 1991 and 1995, this was an internal working reference manual used by Imagineering to help maintain one of Disneyland's most iconic attractions. It was never intended for guests or offered for public sale.Inside are hundreds of professional Imagineering photographs covering the attraction scene by scene—from the loading dock all the way to Trader Sam.Highlights include:• Complete scene-by-scene documentation of the entire attraction• Incredible photographs of the Jungle Cruise with the river completely drained• Numerous behind-the-scenes images stamped "NOT GUEST POINT OF VIEW"• Individual props, sets, and animatronics identified with inventory numbers• Original divider tabs and table of contents intact• Photographs spanning 1991–1995, compiled into this binder in 1996I've spent a considerable amount of time researching this piece and have never found another complete Jungle Cruise Show Quality Standards binder offered for sale. Beyond that, I've been unable to locate complete Show Quality Standards binders for virtually any Disney attraction that have publicly changed hands. Internal Imagineering reference material of this kind almost never becomes available, making this an extraordinary opportunity for serious Disney collectors.Condition is decent overall for what was clearly a working reference manual. There is some water damage and mold spotting on approximately six to ten pages near the end of the binder (primarily pages 65, 67, 107, 108, 112 and 113). The vast majority of the binder remains clean and displays beautifully. Please review all photos carefully.This isn't just another piece of Disney memorabilia. It's a remarkable piece of Disneyland history and an extraordinary glimpse behind the scenes of one of the park's most beloved attractions.
