Moser-Hoffmann 1875 Paris Exhibition One of One Magnificent Piece, Tall, Heavy
Magnificent Piece, Tall, Heavy Incredible, rare, unique museum piece. Incredible workmanship by Art Glass Masters. Perfect condition, no chips, cracks, repairs,damage, slight scuffing to bottom of base from sliding use.
15.5 inches tall w/lid on, 9.5 inches w/o lid, cup depth is 5 inches deep, 3.5 inches across, 4.25 inches of beautiful stem work, tapering out on polished paneled base to 4.5 inches by .50 inches thick. 3 pounds.
In 1873, J. Hoffmann (who worked for/with Moser Era), recorded several large cups of which Moser and he won international recognitionfor his magnificent engraved tableware, especially the cups of various sizes and shapes.
At the time of the World Exhibition in Paris in 1878, Moser had established a network of warehouses in several cities, including Petersburg, New York, London and Paris.At the World Exhibition, Moser won a silver medal for his engraved and transparent crystal, which went from clear to various colors, green, purple, topaz or yellow.
