The USF Soccer Stadium ie bleachers, were packed on September 25, 1996. If memory serves me correctly there were 10,000 or more fans ... to witness the first ever game for THE BULLS.
I was in attendance, the tickets are attached to this mounting and signed by LeRoy Selmon and Head Coach Jim Leavitt.
The engraved plagued says and describes it all. The ball is signed by LeRoy Selmon, Head Coach Jim Leavitt, Quarterback Lance Hoelke and Wideout Charlie Jackson.
The football was saleed off after the game, at the Temple Terrace Grand Opening of Carrabba's of which all proceeds of opening night were donated to USF or another local charity (a tradition of all OSI Restaurants at the time ie Outback & Carrabba's ... did system wide).
The University has asked me for this item numerous times, of which I have provided them alternatives to have it for essentially "free". They sought not to and the ball is now for sale.
I can hand deliver the ball to USF or most anywhere else (within reason), subject to travel schedules.
I can and will provide affidavits securing the history of this ball, if needed.
It hung in the lobby of my business near campus for years and has never been out of it's case nor my possession.

The football can be hand delivered to the University or crated & shipped insured. Hand delivered if you are in the Tampa area for no charge.
BY THE WAY ... I HAVE OFFERED THE FOOTBALL TO USF IF THEY WILL GIVE ME A LETTER FROM THOSE THAT CAN DO THOSE THINGS, VALUING THIS AT $100,000 SO I MAY TAKE THE TAX DEDUCTION. THEY SAID THEY WOULD PUT UP A PLAQUE FOR ME. HUMOROUS AS THAT IS AND NOTHING ELSE, THAT I SHOULD SEEK IT'S VALUE ELSEWHERE AS THEY ARE NOT IN THAT BUSINESS ... IF YOU'D LIKE TO GIVE IT TO THEM, I WOULD REDUCE THE PRICE TO $59,500, THE TAX VALUE TO ME.
This would cover fees to ... there would be no delivery if you live in the Tampa Bay area ... and the net to me after I claim the income from this sale, is the same as if USF wrote the letter acknowledging it's $100,000 value. It's a tax thing ! Pure and Simple !
