What a find, I purchased thispiece maybe 8-10 years ago and it has sat waiting all this time for restoration,whomever removed the clock movement did so with little care and damaged the topof the piece, as such it has been fully restored to gallery condition and isnow ready to accommodate a new movement

I saved this piece becauseclearly the carving is very old and was conducted by an exceedingly fine craftsman,the Sovereign portrait of a King is very Regal and adds a sense of occasion tosuch a piece, the case is also decorated with what looks like English TudorRose’s which date to the 15th century, I’m really unsure exactly howold it is but based on other examples, it looks to be Georgian circa 1780 possiblyearlier

Condition wise as mentioned ithas been fully restored with new glass, all timber issues addressed and thenlightly washed back and French polished being sure to retain all the period patinaand charm

COURIER,LARGE ITEMS ONLY THAT CAN’T BE POSTED

We canarrange delivery nationwide, mostly with our nominated couriers, for Europe weuse one reasonably priced professional company that we trust, for the rest ofthe world we use international shippers that can send any size item crated viaair freight within 7-14 days after crating or soft packed and container shippedvia sea freight within 30-60 days. The time frames outlined are guides only,non-domestic shipping is almost entirely governed by the airlines, sea freightloading times and custom clearances

Whomeverdelivers will always require help on the larger items to unload, the price youwill be quoted will always be based on this assumption, if this is notpossible, please let us know as it will affect the price to send a two-personteam

Delivery isto the ground floor only, again if you need help upstairs or in flats etcthat's absolutely not a problem, the couriers charge £10-£20 per flight per manper item, if you have a working elevator then naturally there’s no additionalfee
