An exceptionally fine, rare, heavy hand-carved Chinese very dark (almost black)/light green chess set from 1940/1950s. It is housed in a felt-lined case. It comes from my personal collection of seventy years. Kings are 3.25 inches tall. Case is cloth covered with brass handles and locks. Case measures 13.5x22 inches when opened. A fine addition to any chess collection. Fifteen years ago, a similar set sold on for $5,450.00. I have given the most accurate description. Sale will be final with no refund or return.
