Selling my extremely rare original Norma Jeane Marilyn Monroe contact sheet photographs taken by Andre De Dienes in 1952 at the Bel Air Hotel in California. Each photo is crystal clear. In wonderful condition. Gelatin silver. Size 10 3/4 x8 1/2. Very rare contact sheet. Produced and stamped by Andre. Some of these images I don’t think have ever been seen or published, these are rare never before seen poses. These contact sheets were some of my most expensive investments during my just over a decade of collecting and I have never seen anything similar, I believe they are definitely one of a kind and I purchased all of them from noted photographic preservationist Kim Goodwin. Please see my other contact sheets I have listed. Reasonable offers accepted.
“” will not appear on the photo, I added that just to protect it.
“Contact sheets closely guarded by
photographers-Once integral to a photographer's profession, contact sheets are now proving to be fascinating collectors' items”
“Contact sheets may still be tough to acquire, but interest is growing in this now-obsolete photographic format.”
This is from, if not the best, then one of the very best Marilyn Monroe photo collectors of all time, Kim Goodwin. Kim was a man of many talents, he loved and had a deep appreciation for Marilyn, he actually worked for photographer, George Barris, and chose to be paid in photographs and negatives. He was extremely talented, among many talents, he was a photographic preservationist, there are many books that credit him for the use of his photos. He was a highly skilled Marilyn doll designer, some would argue perhaps the best because his dolls looked so life like and captured Marilyn’s beauty in a way no other designer could and they had a gracefulness to them that was unparalleled, and as mentioned above contributed to many books on her. He was also a sought after, highly regarded, expert stylist/artist to the stars.
