Extremely well made painted Mashiko Karatsu tea bowl by Ken Matsuzaki. This chawan was exhibited atNihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store year 2015. Very thin walled and well formed bowl. There is a beautiful stone inclusion in the rim that is visible but doesent break the surface. The firing is excellent, I love the deep brown color of the clay.

I don't have the physical copy of the catalogue but I can provide a link to the online catalogue. The last photo of the listing is from the catalogue. The artist has also exhibited this bowl on their Instagram page.

In excellent condition. No damage. Does not seem to be used.

Comes with the original wooden box, CV and cloth. The box might have some stains or signs of age but generally in good condition.

The bowl has artist signature mark on the bottom. In the box I believe it reads "Mashiko Karatsu chawan" but it could also read "Painted Karatsu chawan"
