This is a almost perfect MEP 803A generator on a M116A3 generator trailer with all the perfect upgrades needed for your portable power generation needs.

MEP 803A Generator

This MEP 803A generator was my personal home backup unit for the last few years. I got it with just a few hours on it & worked through the typical issues of a low hour unit that sat around. I did all my upgrades to it that I offer from CallMeColt® LLC. It may not reflect in the pictures, but before it is sold/picked up, a fresh oil change, oil filter, & fuel filters will be done on it. Optima batteries are not that old. As you can tell from the pictures, this is a VERY clean unit. Pretty sure when I got it, it was warehouse kept. Besides a few bangs with a forklift on the side, it looked to be new. It will always start right up even after a few months of sitting. before using it as my backup, I put it through a 6 hour, 110% load test. I load bank tested it every 6 months after that for at least 1 hour, on top of occasional use for backup. Until it is sold, I will use it & load bank it on it's normal rotation, so the hour meter may go up slightly from pictures.

M116A3 Trailer

The M116A3 trailer has had an adjustable channel installed for an easier level ride height. A brand new pair of civilian trailer tires & rimes have been installed, along with a matching spare. The spare is held underneath by a custom fabricated carrier, similar to one under a pickup truck bed. It is accessible from the rear with the included tools for changing a spare on the road in the toolbox!

A custom made 50 gallon aluminum tank on a fabricated vibration isolation system is installed & hooked up to the generators auxiliary fuel system to give an additional 2 1/2 days run time at FULL LOAD. This means at 100% load, you can run for 3 days with full fuel! But, in my experience, you never run at 100% all the time, so this setup gives you about a week of run time for a house standby setup. Of course, results will vary for each application.

Two difference tool boxes are included on the trailer. A 50amp, weather resistant plug is wired in and installed coming from the bottom of the generator to avoid weather intrusion. The hub bearings have been repacked & serviced with new inner seals installed. New break shoe kits have been installed last year. The surge brake system works 100% and the brakes have been adjusted. The parking brakes both work great. A more easily adjustable tongue jack was installed.

Probably more could be said about the trailer, but it's ready to go with everything!

The only reason I am selling is a recently upgraded to a dual power plant unit for my personal power backup.

I ALWAYS get asked on my LOCAL PICKUP listings about shipping. I will not setup freight shipping of any kind because of the way operates. That said, you you want to set it up, I'm happy to work with you on that. Bill of Lading will be taken care of by you. If you are unsure what that is, please learn about freight shipping before hand. Have done it in the past many times & customers have been happy. Coordinate with me BEFORE buying. I'm in the area of San Antonio & have no problem dropping at a yard to save on costs. With local pickup, gives a QR code or PIN for pickup. If you setup freight, I will need that from you to input at the time the unit is DROPPED OFF, as this is when it leaves my possession, & is being PICKED UP by YOUR carrier. Pictures & everything will be provided at time of drop off. Communication must be via messaging system to avoid them Flagging!

After reading all the above, I have to spell out this. It amazes me how many people make BIG purchases on with no plan in place, then it really wastes time & hurts sellers when they just want to cancel. Or, they think I can store it for 6 months. I'm easy to work with, just reach out FIRST. If you're not ready, don't buy! Have a plan! If I have to cancel the order due to lack of planning, 5% will be kept. If pickup doesn't happen within 30 days of the scheduled date & the item will be considered abandoned & no refund will be given.
