It is NOT a printed facsimile, but a live ink autograph.The full text of the continuous hand-written inscription reads:
"In tiefster Ehrfurcht zu Füßen gelegt von Sigmund von Ettingshausen, k. k. Capitaine-Lieutenant im 7. Inf. Rgt. Baron Prohaska"English Translation:
"Laid at [your] feet in deepest reverence by Sigmund von Ettingshausen, Imperial-Royal Captain-Lieutenant in the 7th Infantry Regiment of Baron Prohaska."HISTORICAL CONTEXT:
Sigmund von Ettingshausen (1805–1855) was an Austrian military officer (later Major General). He served as an adjutant in the 7th Infantry Regiment between October 1836 and 1837. This document is an official presentation copy personally signed by Ettingshausen to be gifted to a high-ranking individual or a member of the Imperial family.CONDITION & PROVENANCE:
The bottom paper margin containing the dedication was previously folded backwards to fit an antique frame, which kept the signature preserved. This original hand-signed presentation copy is an exceptional artifact for collectors of Habsburg royalty, militaria, and 19th-century autographs....Maria Theresa (Maria Theresia Walburga Amalia Christina. 13 May 1717 – 29 November 1780) was ruler of the Habsburg dominions from 1740 until her death in 1780, and the only woman to hold the position suo jure (in her own right). She was the sovereign of Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Bohemia, Transylvania, Mantua, Milan, Galicia and Lodomeria, the Austrian Netherlands, and Parma. By marriage, she was Duchess of Lorraine, Grand Duchess of Tuscany, and Holy Roman Empress.
