This is a very rare piece of early Edwardian c1903-4 vintage Veteran car memorabilia The TALBOT CAR CLEMENT TALBOT Ltd Barlby Road Ladbroke Grove London.W brass front headlight lighter usedto light their front gas lights.It was manufactured c1903 the very first year of Talbot car manufacture in their small Ladbroke Grove West London Factory.The top part unscrews to reveal a leather flammable liquid soaked bung that once lit would ignite the gas in their large brass headlights.It has an attractive art nouveau floral design and he companies first Lion&crown Clement&Talbot joint family emblem that went on to form the Talbot car company.It is in a very good condition and measures 20.5cm long x 5cm in diameter.
