Easy Valentine’s Day Party Decor
Do you need to decorate your home for an impromptu holiday party? Celebrate Valentine’s Day with easy-to-make party décor. And bonus, your kids will get a kick out of these cute heart-themed crafts.
Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to trace shapes on top red, pink, purple and white card stock paper. If you don’t have a cookie cutter, draw a heart onto a piece of scrap carboard, cut it out and use it as a template. Cut the hearts out and punch one hole on each side. String the heart garland together with ribbon or yarn. If you’re looking for another option, simply clip the hearts to a piece of yarn or line with clothes pins.
Spread a plain white tablecloth or bedsheet onto the ground. Place flat cardboard under it to absorb any excess paint. Cut sponges into heart shapes. Dip the sponges into red and pink paint and press them onto the cloth/sheet. Let the paint dry before you use the tablecloth.
Set the party table with faux flowers. Cut pieces of pink, red and white tissue into basketball-sized circles. Layer the colors together and squeeze the paper at the center of the circle. Wrap a green pipe cleaner around the bottom and fluff the fake flower. Place several of the flowers into a vase as a Valentine’s Day display.
