Mother’s Day Breakfast Picks Kids Can Create
Give mom a bountiful breakfast in bed to start her Mother’s Day off in the right way. Don’t worry if you aren’t a master chef—the kids can help to create a menu of delicious treats that mom will enjoy. Not only will mom love her special meal, but your children can explore math and science concepts in the kitchen. Whether they measure ingredients, watch the liquid to solid transformation or learn in another way, this activity is the perfect way to extend your kiddo’s education at home.
Even though your child can’t cook eggs themselves, you can. But don’t let this put your child out of the kitchen. After you scramble, fry or prepare the eggs in mom’s favorite way, your child can stack other foods into a towering breakfast sandwich. Use bagels or make the sandwich with mom’s bread of choice. Add sliced tomatoes, avocado, cheese, lettuce, bacon or anything else mom might like.
The kids can help you to measure the ingredients and mix the perfect pancake batter. Add sliced strawberries, blueberries, bananas, or another fruit. After you cook the pancakes, let your littles top the treat with fruit spread, whipped cream or chocolate chips.
Make mom’s morning with a fun-filled whimsical treat. Start with slices of cinnamon or raison bread. Add a later of yogurt spread or jelly. Top the toast with sliced fruit, sprinkles or anything else mom might like.
