July 4th Red, White and Blue Desserts
Are you looking for a few easy dessert options that will fit perfectly into your red, white and blue July 4th party design? Celebrate the Fourth with these family-friendly options. Bonus—the kids can help make these party picks too!
Combine sweet and salty into one popcorn treat! Pop your favorite corn and add a red, white and blue drizzle on top. Melt white chocolate in three separate containers. You can use the double boiler method on the stove or microwave the chocolate (in a microwave-safe bowl) until it melts. Stir red food coloring into one batch, blue into another and leave the third as is. Use a spoon to drizzle the three colors of chocolate onto the popcorn. Add a pinch of red, white and blue sprinkles and let the chocolate cool and harden.
Ice Cream Sundaes
Cool off on a hot July 4th with red, white and blue ice cream bowls. Spoon raspberry, vanilla and blueberry ice cream into a bowl. Top the sundae with whipped cream, cherries, fresh blueberries and red, white and blue sprinkles.
Ice Cream Sandwiches
If you want an ice cream treat the kids can carry, make your own chilly sandwiches. Start with vanilla wafers. Spoon a dollop of raspberry, cherry or any other red colored ice cream in between. Top the sandwich with whipped cream and blue sprinkles.
