Easy Bunny-Themed Easter Bread Recipes
Make your Easter feast even better with these bunny-themed menu picks. Add a family-friendly flare to your holiday treat list, creating a few extra items that the kids can help you to make. Instead of serving regular rolls, try these imaginative rabbit alternatives!
Bake a batch of cornbread, using a favorite recipe or store-bought mix. Use a muffin tin to make individual cakes. After baking the cornbread cakes, have the kids decorate them like bunnies. Chop celery and carrots to use as ears, add raisins as eyes or draw on facial features with peanut butter and jelly (use a tooth pick dipped in the peanut butter or jelly to paint eyes, nose, whiskers and a mouth).
Make cinnamon rolls, unraveling the dough near the top to make bunny ears. Ice the baked rolls and add chocolate chips or raisins as eyes.
Use ready-made refrigerated dough to create an Easter bunny. Roll and flatten a ball of dough to make the head and loop around two long strands to create oval-shaped ears. After baking the bread, have the kids decorate the bunny’s face with cut fruit or veggies. Like with the cornbread, you can also ‘paint’ a face on—using peanut butter, jelly or a favorite condiment.
