Help your family to learn more about this custom with a few fun apple and honey recipe ideas. These options are easy to make and fun for the kids to help create!
Apple and Honey Yogurt Parfait
Peel and slice your family’s favorite type of apple. Use one apple per parfait. Line up clear plastic cups or glasses. Help your child to spoon plain or vanilla yogurt into the bottom of the glass. Sprinkle a layer of granola on top of the yogurt. Add a few apple slices and drizzle honey over the fruit. Repeat the steps, creating additional layers until you get to the top of the glass.
Apple and Honey Tart
Create mini pies to celebrate the holiday. Start with ready-made mini graham cracker crusts. Your child can spoon either vanilla yogurt or pudding into the crust. Cover the top of the tart with thinly sliced apples and a honey drizzle. Chill the tarts and serve the desserts cold.
Apple and Honey Cupcakes
Start with your favorite vanilla cupcake recipe or a boxed mix. Let the kids help you to measure and mix the mini cakes. Bake the cupcakes and let them cool. After the cupcakes cool, frost the tops with apple red icing. Slice an apple and creatively place it on the top of the cupcake in the icing. Pour honey into a small bowl. Your child can use a spoon to drip and drizzle the honey on top of the frosting and apple.
