Halloween Treats for Kids to Help Make
Do your kiddos enjoy getting creative in the kitchen? Celebrate Halloween with a few easy treat (not trick) recipes for the whole family. These boo-tiful ideas are perfect for your holiday party or as trick-or-treat night snacks.
Ghostly Pops
Turn marshmallows into ghost-themed pops. Dab a dot of frosting on two candy eyes. Press each eye into the top front of a marshmallow. Spear the middle of the marshmallow with a popsicle stick and serve the ooey, gooey treats!
Mummy Brownies
Bake a batch of your favorite brownies. Even though your younger children can’t help with the baking process, they can measure and mix the ingredients. After the brownies are baked thoroughly and have cooled, turn them into mummies. Draw lines onto the brownies with white icing and add two candy eyes near the top.
Pumpkin Cupcakes
Use a boxed mix or your own recipe to bake chocolate or vanilla (or both) cupcakes. Frost the cupcakes with orange icing. Sprinkle orange crystal sugar on top. Add a green gumdrop or other similar piece of candy to the top as a stem. If your child wants to get artsy, they can create cute jack o’lantern cupcakes. Instead of a green stem, use black icing to draw a face onto the pumpkin cupcakes.
