Easy Easter Sweet Treat Recipes for Kids
Cooking with kids is a great way to spend time together, get creative, learn about basic science principles and whip up something tasty for the whole family. With Easter on the horizon, check out these easy holiday treats to make with your children.
Create “nests” with thin pretzel sticks on wax paper. Hold the bird homes together with melted white chocolate. Let the nests cool completely in the fridge. After the nests are cool to the touch, let your child decorate them for the Easter holiday. Add a marshmallow peep and jellybeans to each!
Bunny Tail Cupcakes
Bake a batch of your favorite cupcakes. Have your child measure and mix the ingredients to add in a math/science lesson. After baking (and cooling) the cakes, frost them with white icing. Your child can add “bunny fur” with shredded coconut.
Make indoor s’mores on your stove or in the microwave. If you microwave the marshmallows, use a microwave-safe dish and heat the sweet treats in 10-second increments. Place two heated marshmallows on a graham cracker. Add a piece of white chocolate and pastel-hued sprinkles. Place another graham cracker on top. Complete the sweet Easter sandwich with a bunny or chick peep on top.
