With bread products out for the holiday, your kids’ pizza craving doesn’t have to go on the backburner. Your family can whip up a tasty pizza-like treat—made from matzah. Simply spread tomato sauce on a full sheet of matzah, sprinkle mozzarella, asiago or your favorite blend of cheese on top and bake at 325 degrees for five minutes or until the cheese melts and the sauce heats. Check the pizza often to make sure the matzah doesn’t burn. Add basil, veggies or anything else your child wants on top too.
Matzah Breakfast Sandwich
Scramble or fry an egg. Sandwich in between two pieces of matzah. Add your child’s cheese of choice, sliced tomatoes and other veggies.
Make a sweet treat—using matzah! Melt chocolate bars or pieces in the microwave. Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe dish and heat it in 10-second increments, stirring in between. Don’t allow your child to heat the chocolate or touch it until it cools. Place the matzah on wax paper and drizzle the melted chocolate on top. Your child can add coconut flakes, sprinkles or another topper onto the chocolate.
